Lemongrass Tea: Natural Cure for Colds and Flu

Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) or much known as Tanglad/Tanlad is used not only in cooking but also as herbal medicine because of its citrus scent and flavor.

Two of the illnesses it can cure are colds and flu: If you love drinking tea, then might as well try this out. I already did and after a day or two, I start to feel good again. Thanks to marriageandbeyond.com for suggesting this lemongrass tea.

  1. Cut about 5-10 leaves of lemongrass
  2. Put it in a small cooking pot, pour 2-3 cups of water then let simmer (You can add ginger for additional taste and aroma)
  3. Strain the juice in a cup
  4. You can put a slice of lemon or calamansi
  5. Mix it with sugar
  6. That’s it!

Enjoy this for 3-4 times a day. For about a couple of days, you can get back to your normal routine and even play your favorite excellent trumpet without coughing or sneezing. :)
